The purpose of this application is to assist athletes who demonstrate financial need, commitment to the program, and alignment with our organization’s mission.
To qualify, athletes must:
Be at least 17 years of age.
Compete as a Senior Elite Athlete and train a minimum of 10 hours a week.
Have competed in Florida State for a total of 5 years. Exceptions can be made, given the athlete receives consent from the State Board.
If an athlete leaves the Sate and returns, they must compete in the State for one full year before they will be eligible to apply.
Meet established volunteer participation requirements (unless exempted by the board).
Be enrolled with a minimum of 9 credit hours at an accredited college or university (as of the fall semester of the award year).
Maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.
The following documents must be submitted along with your application in order to be considered for the scholarship:
Official high school transcript.
Official college transcript.
A letter from the athlete's personal coach confirming their presence at the gym, training schedule, and that they will be competing for the duration of the upcoming year.
Official dossier from the athlete's USA Gymnastics profile, including competition history.
University receipts indicating full-time student status and amounts paid for tuition, fees, etc.
Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated need, athlete commitment, and available funds.
Form submission is due by February 27.
